Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month.

While we of the Diabetes OC know that November is Diabetes Awareness Month, there’s another cause that needs attention.  It has to do with the pancreas, too.  November is Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month.

I know that a couple members of our community lost loved ones this year to pancreatic cancer.  In recent years, Greg and I have known a couple other people who lost loved ones to this type of cancer.

Pancreatic cancer does not have many early symptoms and is often diagnosed when it’s too late.  With as many advances in detection and treatment of other cancers, this one deserves some, too.

  1. Thanks for posting this, Rachel.

Ryan lost his dad to pancreatic cancer nearly 20 years ago– he was only 52 when he died.

    It’s a horrible, cruel disease.
