New Sensation.
If Barack Obama is unexperienced with nearly four years as an US Senator and six years as an Illinois State Senator, then what does that make Sarah Palin with less than two years gubernatorial experience? Sure, she served on a state commission and was part of city government, but nothing more than that. (Other than her participation in the Miss Alaska pageant, of course…)
I will be very afraid if the McCain/Palin ticket wins. Afraid that the direction this country has been going in continues on its path south. Afraid that McCain croaks and we’re left with Palin, someone who hasn’t completely proven herself on the national scene. Do you really want someone a heartbeat away from the presidency who left a small town in Alaska $20 million in debt and put that town in the category of suburban hell in the process? Do you really want someone who is currently under investigation for trying to get her ex-brother-in-law fired from his state trooper position?
We need to get back to where we belong:
“America, we cannot turn back. Not with so much work to be done. Not with so many children to educate, and so many veterans to care for. Not with an economy to fix and cities to rebuild and farms to save. Not with so many families to protect and so many lives to mend. America, we cannot turn back. We cannot walk alone. At this moment, in this election, we must pledge once more to march into the future.” – Barack Obama, 8/28/08
If McCain wins, I’m moving to Vancouver. Srsly.
It was a great speech. I can’t even begin to say how much I love him and hope, hope, hope that he gets elected. I’ve never wished for November as much as I do nowl
