Something fun for Thursday.
In other words, I have nothing to write about this morning. But…must…post…every…day…in…November.
The best covers ever done, according to yours truly (in no particular order):
Killing Me Softly – The Fugees
Hurt – Johnny Cash
Red Red Wine – UB40
Summer Breeze – Type O Negative
Walk This Way – Run DMC
Let’s Get It On – Jack Black
It’s My Life – No Doubt (originally done by Talk Talk, not Bon Jovi)
American Woman – Lenny Kravitz
The Boys Are Back in Town – Everclear
The covers that should have NEVER been done:
Bringin’ on the Heartbreak – Mariah Carey
Sweet Child o’ Mine – Sheryl Crow
Sitting on the Dock of the Bay – Michael Bolton
When a Man Loves a Woman – Michael Bolton (okay, let’s face it, Michael Bolton should have never made music AT ALL)

Michael Bolton is my Nemesis! YUCK!
I thought that UB40 wrote Red, Red, Wine! Maybe I was too busy drinking it at the time!
Did UB40 ever write any of there own songs? LOL
Foo Fighters – Baker Street
Lemonheads – Mrs. Robinson
Guns ‘n’ Roses – Live And Let Die
Cowboy Junkies – Sweet Jane
Jeff Buckley – Hallelujah (this one brings me to tears every. single. time)
Gary Jules – Mad World (Tears for Fears song)
Those are my top favourite covers.
George> Neil Diamond first performed Red Red Wine. I’m not sure who wrote it – whether it was him or one of his usual songwriters.
Julia> I have yet to hear Foo Fighters doing Baker Street, though I hear it is very good. Lemonheads-Mrs. Robinson – ehhh. I prefer GNR’s Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door to Live and Let Die as far as covers. But neither is tops with me.
