I no longer accept items for review on this blog.

In the past, I did receive books or products to review.  I have done my best to ensure full disclosure regarding receiving these items for free in such reviews as well as providing an honest opinion on such items.

I reserve the right to review a book or product purchased on my own.

I feel it is wise to disclose writing and consulting gigs, past and present.

From March 2007 to November 2011, I wrote columns under paid contract for dLife/LifeMed Media.

In October 2009, I entered into a contract to provide consulting for the American Heart Association’s “Heart of Diabetes” project.  I received an honorarium, an all-expenses-paid trip to visit the AHA headquarters in Dallas, and a Flip video camera to document what I do to stay heart healthy with type 2 diabetes.

In June 2010, I participated in the Roche Pharmaceuticals Social Media Summit for Diabetes Thought Leaders.  As such, I traveled to Orlando at the company’s expense. I will be attending again in July 2012, this time in Indianapolis.
