#NHBPM – Theme Songs

To type 2 diabetes, I dedicate:

Much Too Young To Feel This Damn Old – Garth Brooks

It can be isolating at times, to know that I’m younger than the “usual suspects” who are diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. As a result, I often feel “wise beyond my years” on how it feels to “feel old” with all the medications, blood tests, and specialists required of the condition.

To anxiety and depression, I dedicate:

Baker Street – Gerry Rafferty (covered by Foo Fighters)

I have always understood this song as digging one’s self out of a depressive episode, which for me is often triggered by periods of high anxiety in the months that SAD dominates.
