The twenty-first truth.

(This comes from the 30 Days of Truth meme, an ongoing blogging project that I hoped to finish by the end of the year…maybe by the end of January?)

Day #21 – (scenario) Your best friend is in a car accident and you two got into a fight an hour before. What do you do?

I don’t like this question.  For many reasons.  And I’ve been dreading answering this day #21 because of all those reasons, but mainly three.

One, I don’t really have a best friend.  I have several close friends who have managed to stick with me for years through all my weirdness and anxiety.  But no one exact best friend.  Not even one who is related to me.

Two, this isn’t the kind of question for someone with anxiety issues like mine to be answering.  ”What if s/he was so angry that s/he wasn’t paying attention to driving?” is just one sort of “what if?” question that would be running through my mind.

Three, G lost a college friend several years ago in a car accident.  The last time we saw this friend, about a month prior to his death, it happened to be New Year’s Eve (into New Year’s Day).  I wasn’t exactly sober (and G was definitely not), and I know I said something stupid in relation to something he said as he left for the evening.  And it’s bothered me to this day, even though we had a decent e-mail conversation about something else entirely a couple weeks later.

So yeah.  I don’t like this question.  But I guess I sort of answered it, huh?
