I don’t feel good.

I don’t feel good.

I haven’t felt this horrible since the months immediately prior to and immediately following my hypothyroidism and type 2 diabetes diagnoses.

Staying awake past 9pm is nearly impossible on weeknights. Staying awake during the work day is nearly impossible without a morning cup of coffee followed by 2-3 cans of diet caffeinated soda. (Yeah, I fell off the artificial sweetener avoidance wagon weeks ago.)

In the first 2 months of the year, I read 9 books. I’m still on book #10 as April arrives. (Okay, so this book is a 600-pager, but still…) I have little or no desire to write, so deadlines are being extended and breaks from blogging are warranted.

I don’t feel good. I don’t know if it is my hectic work schedule along with reduced exercise. Or if it is too many post-prandials hitting the 200 mark (and beyond). Or if it is my thyroid out of whack. Or if it is SAD rearing its ugly head much like it did last year, rendering me emotionally and physically exhausted. Or if it is all four mixing to produce a very unhappy Rachel.

One more week until the endo appointment.

  1. I had similar problems last summer (you might remember) and it wasn’t until I stopped drinking coffee almost completely that I started to feel better. I also started taking a multivitamin more regularly though I’ve stopped doing that lately. I know coffee seems like a natural reaction when you’re typing, but maybe it’s actually making you feel worse?

I hope you can get some direction from your endo. It’s so frustrating to try and figure out whats going wrong sometimes! It sounds like you’ve got a lot of potential causes, so I hope you can eliminate some of them. At least the days are getting longer, so if it’s SAD I’d hope it would improve on its own.

It sucks not feeling good. I hope that you can find out what is going on quickly and get some good feeling back.
