Day Four.

I updated my LinkedIn profile, so it must be real.

Four days of reading up on the specifics of the new position, four days of training, four days of being surrounded with people who are passionate about what they do for a living, four days of looking forward to the next day’s work.  (And four days to figure out that people actually do drink coffee in my office, but they opt out of gutrot coffee in the break room.)

Working on a grant is way different than for-profit accounting, though my existing skills are already proving helpful (along with a thirst for knowledge that has not be satisfied in quite some time).

Something is finally going right with this new opportunity. After eighteen months of illness and surgeries and recovery and then some significant upheaval, something is going right. (Which helps me sleep a bit better and a bit sounder than I have in quite some time; well, okay, at least until the cat wakes me up before the alarm.)

  3. Yay for you!!!!! I can’t think of anyone more deserving of good things. I am so happy for you, it is so nice when good things happen to good people, it restores my faith in the world. Thank you for sharing, it has lifted up my spirits. (I know that is selfish, but kind of in a good way?)
